Falcons schedule preview 2016: Hosting the Chiefs in Week 13

Geschrieben am 06.08.2016 04:21 von Benutzer: jamesharrison jamesharrison

The schedule is so brutal for these Falcons in 2016 that a home game against a very tough Kansas City Chiefs team looks like one of the more winnable matchups they have all year. That is, uh, not optimal. The Chiefs fly under the radar a bit, which is something that happens when Alex Smith is your quarterback Jordan Leslie Jersey, but they have a strong ground game, improved receiving options, and an incredibly dangerous defense, so please don think I taking them lightly. If you want to learn more about how the Chiefs are rolling into 2016, though, we need to hear from the folks at Arrowhead Pride. Let do so now. Notable free agent additions: RT Mitch Schwartz, WR Rod StreaterNotable free agent departures: CB Sean Smith, S Tyvon Branch, QB Chase DanielTrades: N/ADraft picks expected to contribute as rookies: The Chiefs could end up having one or two starters the first year with a bunch of role players or those replacing someone else down the line De'vondre Campbell Jersey. DT Chris Jones, WR Demarcus Robinson and WR Tyreek Hill could have a regular role on the team in the first year too. Biggest offseason addition: RT Mitch SchwartzBiggest storyline heading into training camp: In the short-term, it will be replacing Justin Houston, who is likely to miss part of the season coming back from February ACL surgery. In the long-term, can the Chiefs take the next step on offense? Theye on the doorstep after a divisional round loss last season to the Patriots. What they lacked was explosiveness on offense. RT Mitch Schwartz will help solidify the line while Jamaal Charles’ return hopes to add that explosiveness that was lacking last season. Under-the-radar storyline heading into training camp: How old is too old on defense? Key players like Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson are up there in age. No Justin Houston early on or Sean Smith, now with the Raiders. Notable injuries heading into training camp: RB Jamaal Charles and CB Phillip Gaines are coming back from an ACL tear early on last season. They should be ready. Justin Houston is likely to miss part of the regular season after he coming off of ACL surgery Malliciah Goodman Jersey.

Should David Johnson be candidate to lead NFL in rushing?

Arizona Cardinals fans are very, very excited about what running back David Johnson can do with a full-time load in 2016. He was one of the team's most exciting players, collecting more than 1000 yards from scrimmage in a mostly part-time role and scoring 13 touchdowns. But in a recent article on NFL.com projecting who could be the top rusher in the league in 2016, Johnson is not mentioned. The guys mentioned are Todd Gurley, Adrian Peterson http://www.arizonacardinalsteamstore.com/27-Cardinals_Corey_Peters_Jersey, Le'Veon Bell and even rookie Ezekiel Elliott.Should Johnson be in the conversation?Probably not, though the potential is there. After all, head coach Bruce Arians has said Johnson has the potential to be "one of the all-time best."Why shouldn't he be in the conversation? There is more than one reason. One is simply the offense the Cardinals run. While it is believed they will run the ball more than in years past, the Bruce Arians offense is still big on passing the ball, and when you have a quarterback like Carson Palmer and receivers like Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd and John Brown, it is foolish not to throw them the ball.Gurley and Peterson are in offenses that are based on their skill primarily. Their teams lack the talent at quarterback and receiver to do what the Cardinals do in the passing game.Johnson is also very dangerous in the passing game. His impact will not just be as a runner. On top of all that, while he is expected to get the most carries, he will share time with Chris Johnson. Gurley and Peterson will not share many carries at all.So should Cardinals fans feels slighted or get outraged at Johnson's omission from this list of potential rushing leaders? Nope http://www.arizonacardinalsteamstore.com/64-Cardinals_Kerwynn_Williams_Jersey, and that is just fine.
